The following are the most common jobs and responsibilities that are needed from volunteers during a campaign:
Canvasser: Your job as a canvasser will be to introduce Jeff to voters while also listening to their questions and concerns. As a foot canvasser you will visit voter’s homes (sometimes with Jeff), while as a phone canvasser you will be reaching out to voters remotely. In either role you will be the eyes, ears, and mouth of the campaign. Your advocacy for Jeff and the N.D.P. in combination with the information that you collect will be vital for getting our message out there and making strategic decisions about how to deploy our resources throughout the campaign.
Fund Raiser: One of the largest challenges of running a campaign is finding and securing adequate funding. Unfortunately campaigns do not pay for themselves. As a fundraiser, however, you can help do something about it. Your job will be to seek out people and groups who are willing to and interested in supporting us financially and helping them through the process of doing so. Without the fundraising skills of activists like yourself successful election campaigns cannot happen.
Sign Crew: Lawn signs are one of the most effective ways that voters can show their support for Jeff while helping us raise awareness of our campaign. As part of the sign crew you will be responsible for delivering, installing, and removing (after the campaign finishes) lawn signs throughout the riding. With the help of people like you we can keep our riding orange.
Andrea Horwath and the NDP think that no person should go without dental care, even if they can not afford it. Support us in our plan to provide basic dental benefits to all Ontarians to help us make a better Ontario for everyone.
